K County Quick Bites

Looking for something to do in Kosciusko County this weekend or in the upcoming weeks? If it’s an event related to one of our local bars or restaurants, you’re in luck. I’ve compiled all the news I could find related to the aforementioned subject and plopped it all down in one handy spot for you.

This bar top makes the perfect landing spot for the craft cocktails emanating from the minds of the staff at Rua.

The word/name/phrase in parentheses refers to the Facebook page ID for each location. Google doesn’t like it when you fill your articles with links so in the interest of staying on Big Brother’s good side, I’ve provided their Facebook page ID instead. Simply copy and paste it into Facebook’s search window and you’ll find the relevant page in the results.

Alright, now on to the good stuff!

Rua (rua) – Starting April 30th, Rua will be open on Mondays for dinner. Hours will be 5-9 pm. They also have a new bartender and you might even recognize her. And yes, she’s really good. Plus, they’re hiring kitchen help so get that resume up to date.
Homebrew Fest (gardenwinona) – The annual “excuse to drink beer for a good cause” shindig will be taking place on June 23rd at 6 pm at the Garden at Winona (Cerulean). It’s all good.
The Silver Inn (silver.inn.7 – it’s a personal page) – Their 6th Annual Crawfish Boil starts Tuesday, May 1st at 5p and will go through Saturday, May 5th … or until they run out. My advice – get there early.
Oak and Alley (oakandalley) – Tuesday night specials are back! Life is good.
Anthology Whiskey Room (anthologywhiskey) – Starting in May, Anthology is tentatively scheduled to be open during the week. The last I heard, hours will be approximately 5-10 pm Tuesday through Saturday. Every time I’ve been there, I never want to leave.
One Ten Craft Meatery (110craftmeatery) – They have a new menu! Must be spring.
The Downtown (downtowneatery) – Renovations are done and it’s fancy! Say goodbye to the orange bricks but a hearty “Hello!” to the Mystery 7 cocktail and the Outlaw sub. My new addictions.
The Barbee Landing (barbeelanding) – Hours are expanding. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday – 3 pm to close. Saturday and Sunday – noon to close. More Barbee, more party.
OrthoCity Brewery and Smokehouse (Orthocity-Brewery-Smokehouse) – They will begin “Bring Your Own Vinyl” Sundays starting April 29th, 2 pm. Spin tunes. Spin stories.
Spike’s Beach Grill (Spikes-Beach-Grill) – Changes are coming! Sand. Lots of it.
