K-County and the ‘Rona – Free Meals on Easter Weekend

It’s no secret that individuals and families are struggling in the midst of the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic. With many experiencing reduced work hours/no income at all and a delay in receiving assistance from the governments, stress, both mental and financial, can quickly take its tolls. Luckily, this weekend will offer a respite for some from the ills of the world as local organizations and businesses step up to offer free meals on Easter weekend for those in need. There are also plenty of local restaurants offering Easter meal deals for families if you’re looking to support one of our many local food establishments.

The Owl’s Nest/The Sleepy Owl
The Owl’s Nest, in conjunction with the Sleepy Owl, is giving away 500 meals starting at 4 pm on Saturday, April 11th. Meals available at the event center will include roast beef, green beans and mashed potatoes. You can find more details on their Facebook page.

North Webster Church of God M.O.M.S. and Bourbon Street Pizza
200 cheese pizzas will be available from 4-6 pm on Saturday afternoon (4/11) at Bourbon Street Pizza in North Webster (or until they run out). Find out more on Facebook.

Syracuse Knights of Columbus
The Syracuse Knights will be offering a free drive-thru pancake and eggs breakfast on Saturday morning, Apri 11th, from 8-10 am. On top of the free meal, children will receive a free Easter bag. The Knights will also be collecting canned goods and cash donations for local food pantries. Get more details on Facebook.
