Fat and Skinny Tire Festival
The self-described “most popular bike race in the Midwest,” Fat and Skinny, as it’s known to most, takes place the weekend before Memorial Day weekend. With events in Warsaw and Winona Lake along with county-wide rides spread out over three days, the weekend is filled with fun for all ages and experience levels.
Village Art Fair
Taking place the weekend after Memorial Day, the Village’s Art Fair allows visitors the chance to view and purchase artwork from over 75 vendors. Live music, food vendors and activities for the kids are also provided.
Lake Wawasse
Indiana’s largest natural lake can be found in the northeast corner of the county. Checking in at a whopping 3200 acres, Wawasee allows skiing and other related water activities. There are also a large variety of fish from largemouth bass to blue gill to yellow perch. A public access site can be found on the southern tip of the lake.Virtual Tour Here
Center Lake
Located just north of downtown Warsaw, Center Lake is home to blue gill, yellow perch, catfish and largemouth bass. While skiing isn’t allowed, there are plenty of activities available at the park that dots its southeast shore and lakefront restaurants to enjoy on its eastern shore along SR 15/N. Winona Lake
At over 550 acres, Winona offers skiing and other related water activities. If don’t have your own equipment, the Lake House, located in the Village at Winona, will rent some to you. Sunfish, catfish and walleye among others can be found in its waters. Its popular and ever-expanding beach, located on the east shore of the lake, is a popular destination for families. Its public access site is at the northwest corner of Kiwanis Park where the lake is accessed via a channel.Virtual Tour Here
Pike Lake
About 230 acres of water will greet you at Pike Lake, located just east of Center Lake. While no skiing is allowed, bluegill, yellow perch and walleye among others are available for anglers. The lake also has a beach which is where you’ll find the public access site and a campground.Virtual Tour Here
