Warsaw’s La Troje, a Mexican restaurant located downtown, unveiled its new taco box and it’s everything your taco-loving self has ever dreamed of. If you think Taco Tuesday should be a national holiday, well, happy holidays, my friend. This might be the best day of your life.
Imagine picking up a piping hot square cardboard box, opening it and discovering tacos staring at you instead of a pizza? Nothing against pizza but everyone’s doing that. The new taco box from our favorite Mexican restaurant is the only one I know of in our area.
Just like your pizza, you can customize it as well. Prefer your tacos Mexican style? Your wish is their command. At $2.15 each, they cost more than your typical chintzy $1 taco Tuesday specials but there’s more to love, making these tacos well worth the investment. You can order them stuffed full with steak/asada, chicken (grilled or shredded), chorizo, carnitas (I’ll take eight of them, please) or el pastor. Don’t worry – your lovely taco box comes with chips and salsa.
American tacos are available as well for $1.79 each and can be ordered with a soft or hard shell and ground beef. If you’d prefer another meat, you can substitute it for an upcharge.
All of the taco boxes are available with cheese dip or guacomole (small – $3.49/large $6.29) as well as grilled onions and peppers for a buck.
