Bars and restaurants are set to reopen in Indiana on May 11th at 50% capacity according to Governor Holcomb’s press conference on Friday, May 1. This is covered under Stage 2 of the state’s phased reopening. As long as they serve food, they will be able to reopen provided their capacity does not exceed 50%.
Bar seating will remain closed and no live entertainment will be allowed. Employees must wear face coverings.
Provided everything goes well, restaurants and bars that serve food will be able to move to 75% capacity in Stage 4, set to begin on June 14th. Bar seating will be set at 50% capacity with social distancing guidelines in place. Employees will still be required to wear face coverings.
Provided all goes well, restaurants and bars, including those that don’t serve food, will be able to reopen at full capacity on July 4th – Independence Day.
