The Dixie Haven Resort – Your Lakeside Getaway

If you’re looking for places to stay in Kosciusko County, the Dixie Haven Resort might not be exactly what you think of when it comes to resorts. What it lacks in typical resort amenities, however, is more than made up for in its other amenities. A family-friendly atmosphere, comfortable amenities and Midwest charm continue to bring repeat customers to this lakeside getaway each year.

What it lacks in size, the Dixie Haven Resort more than makes up for in intimacy. This local family-owned resort continues to welcome visitors with open arms and a “welcome home” as longtime customers become more than just bookings. They become family.

Each lake view unit contains kitchenettes complete with two burner cook top mini fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. Nightly fires take place in the fire pit where families and friends regale each other with tales from the day. The Dixie Haven Resort’s location also offers convenient access to a public beach and free concerts on Friday nights. The only Pizza King location that I know of with lakefront dining and the Dixie Stern Wheel are just across the street.

Amenities at the Dixie Haven Resort include an outdoor heated swimming pool that is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend. The property also includes the free firewood, charcoal and gas grills, nightly pier rentals and boat rentals. Rates for the rooms range from $75 to $95 a night for double occupancy. Extra adults cost $10 per night per room up to a maximum of four guests per room. Free parking is available onsite. For those of us who can’t disconnect, free WIFI is also available.

With convenient shopping and family friendly activities in close proximity, it’s no surprise that most of the Dixie Haven Resort’s business is repeat. You will be hard pressed to find a better value for your vacation getaway to lake country.
