In a report posted to the Times Union Online, it was confirmed that a Popeyes Restaurant will be coming to Warsaw. The restaurant, which is most well known for its chicken sandwiches, will occupy the space that was formerly home to Schoop’s.
In the article, Arc Design Resources is listed as representing the corporate parent for the new Popeyes restaurant. Zoning districts, setbacks, variances and the like were all discussed at the Warsaw Board of Zoning Appeals meeting Monday night.
Concerns were noted about the property, chiefly the triangular shape of the lot and potential traffic issues. The irregular shape of the lost was addressed through the variances. Since traffic had not been an issue in the past, they did not anticipate it being a problem going forward.
What do you think about the new Popeyes restaurant opening up in Warsaw? Are you now waiting with bated breath for Chick-fil-A to announce their long awaited arrival? Let me know in the comments. If anyone is feeling the love for chicken sandwiches from Wendy’s (my personal favorite), don’t be afraid to let your feelings known as well.
