Winona Lake’s vibrant dining and coffee scene is about to see an exciting change! After 12 years of serving up delicious pizzas, sandwiches, and coffee, Light Rail Cafe announced on their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/lightrailcafewl) that they are officially passing the torch to The River Coffeehouse. This transition, set for April 14th, marks a fresh start for the beloved cafe space in The Village at Winona.
Light Rail Cafe has been a cornerstone of the community, offering a welcoming atmosphere and tasty bites that have kept customers coming back for over a decade. While saying goodbye to such a staple is bittersweet, the owners are thrilled to see The River Coffeehouse take over, bringing fresh energy and creativity to the space.
For The River Coffeehouse, this is an incredible opportunity for growth. Already well-loved in downtown and North Webster, The River’s expansion into Winona Lake allows them to share their passion for quality coffee and food with a new audience. As stated on their Facebook page when sharing the original post from Light Rail, owner Amanda and her team are eager to step into this new role, expressing gratitude for the support they’ve received over the past five years and their excitement to become part of The Village’s tight-knit community.
While Light Rail’s departure marks the end of an era, it’s clear that the spirit of great coffee and community will live on. The River Coffeehouse has big shoes to fill, but their enthusiasm and commitment to their craft make them a perfect fit for this next chapter. And we’ve already witnessed their exponential growth in downtown Warsaw.
So mark your calendars for April 14th and get ready to welcome The River Coffeehouse to Winona Lake and the Village at Winona. Stop by, grab a cup of coffee, and be part of this exciting new beginning!
