Restaurant Review – Noa Noa Wood Grill and Sushi Bar

Introduction

When it comes to places to eat in Kosciusko County, Noa Noa Wood Grill and Sushi Bar is a favorite destination with locals and visitors to the area. With its tropical ambiance, tiki bar and rum-centric cocktail menu, it makes for a unique experience not found anywhere else in the county. The favored Beach Bar Burger and other red meat dishes have been absent from the menu for a while and there is now more of an emphasis placed on grilled fish and seafood along with their longtime staple sushi. Even with the pivot, Noa Noa remains a preferred destination for foodies of all types.

Setting

If you are wondering what a meal would look like with a tropical setting smack dab in the Midwest, you can wonder no longer. Noa Noa transfers you to the little latitudes, where the sun seemingly shines year round, palm trees block the horizon and winter is just a myth. It does so in a way that doesn’t seem over-the-top but rather classy, something you might stumble across in a classic Hollywood flick based in the South Pacific.

Service

Service is never an issue at Noa Noa. It takes time to prepare a good meal but never too long. From the moment you step through their front door into the small lobby, you can expect nothing but the best, from the person who greets you to the person who says “tah tah for now” on the way out.

Food

As was mentioned earlier, Noa Noa is a destination for individuals who like their food when it spent their previous lives below the surface of the water. From the moment the fish market greets you upon your entrance, there is no mistake this is joint that specialized in fish and seafood.

Red meat lovers shouldn’t fret. While they don’t have many options, what they have is prepared expertly. Their house burger and filet are the only options but choose either one and you will be glad you did. A few pasta and chicken dishes are interspersed throughout the menu. Combined with the other international fare and ever guest is bound to find something to their liking and within their preferred price point.

Drinks

The above reasons offer plentiful excuses to reserve a table at Noa Noa but the real reason for this beach bar bum is simple. Their cocktail menu is second to none when it comes to my favorite spirit – rum. You won’t find more tiki or rum-based cocktails on any other menu in the county. With classics such as the Mai Tai and others available at a reasonable price, every rum aficionado in your social circle will be thankful for the introduction.

Grab a seat at the tiki bar where you will quickly be transported to somewhere tropical. Caribbean and South Pacific accoutrements will invade your periphery and envelop you in a virtual ray of sunshine, something especially needed during the gray winters of the Midwest. If Pam is working the bar, count your blessings, order the aforementioned Mai Tai and whisk yourself away to an island. The meal will arrive in due time.

Conclusion

If you’re looking for places to eat in Kosciusko County, put Noa Noa on your short list. With its tropical island setting, extensive rum cocktail menu and unique diversity of dishes, this longtime Warsaw restaurant was built to impress and will continue to do so for years to come.
