Asian Cajun Owners Announce Move to New Location and Purchase of Wabash Donuts

In a post to their Facebook page on January 13th, the owners of Asian Cajun officially confirmed that they were purchasing Wabash Donuts and its current building and moving their restaurant to that facility. In a previous post to their Facebook page at the end of 2021, the folks behind the local eatery had confirmed what many had already heard – they would be moving to a new location and their current building would be leased to an as-yet-to-be-announced new restaurant. Their latest post made it official. With plans to open by the end of January, Asian Cajun will be moving to the current Wabash Donuts building at 658 S. Buffalo St. in Warsaw.

While the “Wabash Donuts” name will be disappearing, their donuts will not. The donuts, which have become a favorite locally, will still be made with the same ingredients and same workers. Changes that will occur will include expanded hours and renovations to the area to add room and comfort for visitors. During the transition, Wabash Donuts will continue to operate as normal.

The new business, which will include International Foods (Asian/European food market), Asian Cajun and Wabash Donuts, will be called “Asian Cajun Market.” The 11,000 square ft. facility will also include a station to serve their popular bubble tea with a wide variety of flavors. Plans at this time are to possibly also include podcasts or videos, shared to their Facebook page, which will show people how to cook some dishes utilizing the items offered for sale on their market side.

From the Asian Cajun Facebook page:

“As you may know, Asian Cajun will be moving to a new location. In order to do what we had planned to do (Asian Cajun Restaurant, International Foods, Bobba Central and Wabash Donuts) in one location we had decided to purchase Wabash Donuts and it’s location as part of the transition! We believe the space (11,000sq ft) will be adequate enough.

During this time we are renovating and getting things together for the market and restaurant and we thank you for your patience. We should have everything ready by the end of January. However, Wabash Donuts will continue to operate as normal, so please come visit us!

We thank you for your patronage and continued support and again we cannot wait to see all of you again!”

The new Asian Cajun location is listed as “Wabash Donut Shoppe” in the map below.
