Opening Weekend at Warsaw’s Redwood Firewood Grill

My review of the Redwood Firewood Grill first appeared on Ink Free News in March of last year. It was opening weekend and one part of my experience that I wasn’t too fond of was the pricing of the drinks. I didn’t include it in the article because I had already knocked the bar for its service (which was no fault of the bartenders). The mojito I ordered was $9, considerably overpriced for a drink that has 1 1/2 to 2 ounces max of liquor.  There wasn’t anything special about the presentation and the taste wasn’t memorable. While I was initially excited about Redwood moving into the location, my excitement was tempered and even muted by the cost of the cocktails. I’ll have to try it again this summer to see if their cocktail program has improved to the point of charging $9 for a run-of-the-mill cocktail.
